So you missed the MF Ruckus doing Thin Lizzy last week and you're pretty bummed. Hell, we're bummed too, brothers and sisters! After all, we spent weeks sweating it out in the basement, drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, telling jokes and occasionally taking a minute to work on some songs. So, we thought it would be badass to have a total neighborhood bro-down, invite our buds from Throttlebomb and have a couple of our favorite DJ's, Shellz Bellz and The Chineasy Rider come spin some badass Rock n Roll. We feel it's pretty sharp. So make your Sunday funday plans to be at Hi-Dive and let's have ourselves a god damn Champagne Jam!

Richie Ramone (Yes...of THE Ramones)
The Oriental Theater:4335 w/ 44th Ave., Denver, CO, USA(MAP)
RICHIE RAMONE
Richie Ramone is the fastest, most powerful drummer who ever played with the legendary
punk-rock band the Ramones, and he wrote several popular songs during his five years in
the group, including “Somebody Put Something in My Drink.” He's recorded with
Chubby Checker and the B-52's Fred Schneider, and has written and arranged for jazz and
orchestral groups, but at heart Richie remains a true punk-rocker as he prepares to release
his solo debut in 2012 and go on tour.
He was a drummer from the beginning. As a child prodigy, the classically trained
musician began playing drums at age four and was touring professionally by age eleven.
Among his teachers was the jazz great Joe Morello (of the Dave Brubeck Quartet), and he
was being courted to enroll in Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music when Richie
instead dove into the 1980s New York underground music scene. Under the name Richie
Beau, he played there with the Shirts and Velveteen.
In 1983, he was recruited into the Ramones, and first appeared with the band on their
Subterranean Jungle tour. For the next five years, Richie performed over 500 shows
around the world with the punk rock originators and wrote several critically acclaimed
songs and fan-favorites for the albums Animal Boy, Too Tough to Die and Halfway to
Sanity. His song “Somebody Put Something in My Drink” was a mainstay in the Ramones
set right up until their final show in 1996. It was also featured on Ramones Mania, the
only Ramones album to go gold, as well as many motion pictures, and continues to be
covered by new generations of bands worldwide.
Richie also wrote “I'm Not Jesus,” “Can't Say Anything Nice,” “I Know Better Now,”
“Humankind” and “Smash You” (which became the title track for one of the Ramones'
most successful re-releases, Smash You: Live '85). Richie's “I'm Not Jesus” took the
Ramones in a heavier direction and has become a frequent cover tune for innumerable
heavy metal bands.
Richie sang back-up vocals on several Ramones songs, including their controversial
hardcore track “Wart Hog.” Richie was also the first and only drummer to sing lead
vocals on Ramones songs: “Can't Say Anything Nice” and the unreleased “Elevator
Operator,” plus a multitude of Ramones demos.
The relationships among of the Ramones were famously rocky (as revealed in On the
Road with the Ramones by road manager Monte Melnick, I Slept with Joey Ramone by
Mickey Leigh, and the 2003 documentary End of the Century: The Story of the
Ramones). But Richie enjoyed close bonds with both Joey and Dee Dee, and collaborated
with the Ramones bassist on his solo material, including his brief hip-hop career as Dee
Dee King. Singer Joey once said of the drummer, “[Richie] saved the band as far as I'm
concerned. He [was] the greatest thing to happen to the Ramones. He put the spirit back
in the band.”
In recent years, Richie's drumming has led him into other genres of popular music,
stretching from punk to jazz and orchestral music. In 2007, Richie Ramone introduced his
virtuosic drumming to the symphonic world with his “Suite for Drums and Orchestra”
based on Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story. He debuted his arrangement with the
Pasadena Pops Orchestra as the featured drum soloist and was an immediate hit with
critics and patrons there and in other cities. He is currently working on another innovative
“Suite for Drums and Orchestra” comprised of classic James Bond movie songs.
In 2011, the Recording Academy gave the Ramones a Grammy Lifetime Achievement
Award in Los Angeles, where all three of the band's drummers (Tommy, Marky and
Richie Ramone) stood beneath the same roof for the first time ever. Currently, Richie is
recording his own album and preparing to tour South America. Richie is also the only
surviving Ramone to be featured on the long awaited second Joey Ramone solo album,
“Ya Know?” to be released on May 22, 2012, and will be appearing in the upcoming Jim
Rose movie as well as contributing to the soundtrack.
Hell's Belles/MF Ruckus/Nuns of Brixton @ The Oriental Theater, Denver
The Oriental Theater:4335 w/ 44th Ave., Denver, CO, USA(MAP)
HELL’S BELLES are first and foremost dedicated AC/DC fanatics. This is what we all have in common. We’re all part of a huge community of devotees to one of the greatest rock-n-roll bands in the world. This is who we all are, and this is what HELL’S BELLES strives to deliver with mechanical precision and passionate fury. Endorsed by Angus Young himself (Blender Magazine, 2003), HELL'S BELLES are the closest one can get without actually moving to Australia and joining AC/DC's road crew.
HELL'S BELLES formed in 2000, the brainchild of former member, Amy Stozenbach (guitar), alongside former member, Om Johari (vocals). The current line-up features original member Mandy Reed, rock solid and born ready as Cliff Williams (bass guitar), Adrian Conner, dreadlock slinger and wicked player as Angus Young (lead guitar), Lisa Brisbois, sly and subtly intense as Malcolm Young (rhythm guitar), Laura D, heavy hitter as Phil Rudd (drums), and joining our ranks in 2011 – all the way from Australia, Amber Saxon, the kind of bombastic hard rock power that makes no apologies and is dangerous around the edges, as Bon Scott & Brian Johnson (Vocals).
HELL'S BELLES are indeed ALL female, all the way to their rock-n-roll cores, all the time and without exception. Representing for a whole new generation of women that won't be intimidated, HELL'S BELLES actively encourage our legions of lady fans to stand up and be counted, and collaborate with women musicians and causes as a part of the mission towards rock and roll inclusion. Not some down-your-throat feminism, but a proactive support and action spirit towards the continued march towards balancing of the gender scales.
The thousands of shows HELL'S BELLES have played around the world, including Japan, Canada, and the good ol' USA (including Alaska), have become legendary nights of epic proportions. Consistently Sexy and sold-out shows - there's not a HELL'S BELLES audience that hasn't been blown away by the raw power, attention to AC/DC details, and undeniable appeal that these bad ass belles deliver with undying devotion. From "Live Wire" to "The Jack" to "TNT", not to mention AC/DC’s landmark hits “Highway to Hell”, “Thunderstruck”, and “Back in Black”. The marathon set lists change to include a fresh variety of classics, but the perfection and passion of the show never does.
It's an all out rock-n-roll assault that leaves you both satisfied and begging for more. And, more you'll get as HELL'S BELLES keep conquering new cities, new states, and new countries. They'll be in your back yard bringing AC/DC in sound and spirit to you direct any day now. 2005’s studio recordings, “We Salute You”, are slated to be refreshed with a whole new set of songs and available to our public this year, so you can always count on taking a little piece of HELL’S BELLES home with ya.
HELL’S BELLES 2011 – committed, ferocious, meticulous women rock musicians delivering authentic AC/DC to the unbelievably supportive and wicked awesome fans. All day and all night long, all over the world, pitch perfect AC/DC delivered with a highly charged vigor by Amber, Mandy, Laura, Lisa, and Adrian “Angus”.

DJ's Testicular Blowout!
Nate's House:752 Glenwood Ave, Grand Junction, CO, USA(MAP)
Here's the details as given by co-organizer, Fox Benton:
My friend of 18 years, D.J. Klamfoth is like a brother to me. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer two months ago. He is the father of a beautiful 13 year old girl named Genevria, and has a girlfriend (Carly) who is six months pregnant with his second daughter. D.J. has always been an entrepreneur. He owns JunkTown Sk8 Co. Skateshop and Kleen Sting Tattoos. D.J. has no insurance and has already been through the initial surgery to remove the cancer. He still has a long way to go. He starts radiation this month, because the doctors are afraid the cancer could have moved to his lymph nodes. Carly recently lost her job and now their house and two businesses could be in jeopardy if we don't do something. September 30th three of Grand Junctions most talented tattoo artists are doing $50 tattoos all day long at Kleen Sting tattoos on North Avenue. All of those proceeds will go to D.J. and his family. October 1st There will be an all day Beer, Booze, BBQ blowout with live bands and giveaways, sponsored by GOAT vodka. We will be selling tickets to this event and all of those proceeds will as well go to helping with medical costs. This will only be a drop in the bucket but every little bit helps. Thank you for your consideration and we all hope you can make it. Cheers fox

Now that is a tour! You might be asking yourself, "What can I do to help?"
Here's some ideas:
First and foremost, tell your friends. Spread the word around! By mouth, by computer or by carrier pigeon, the best thing you can do is to pass the world along and bring folks to the shows!
Share information with us! See a "TBA" on our schedule? Suggest a club, band or alternate city we should know about. Although the TBA's are in the works, they are not set in stone, so we are always welcome to your feedback. Know a good place to send posters? Tell us about it! Know about a good podcast, radio show, etc? Let us know!
Above all else...PARTY! Yes, we like to make music, yes we love to travel, but the main purpose of this tour is to have fun with our friends. Take the next day off work, plan around the show and let's have ourselves a good time!
So if you've been at a show in the past 6 months, you've heard all the big changes that have been occuring. If not, allow us to bring you up to speed:
After over 7 years with us, Tay Hamilton has bowed out to give his full attention to his latest project HOT APOSTLES. We could not be more proud of our brother and we highly recommend you catch a show. They gig like crazy! Check out HOT APOSTLES by visiting www.hotapostles.com.
Jerry Cass, our rhythm guitar player, old friend, funny man and owner of the late Spike The Racist Dog is....wait for it....GETTING MARRIED AND HAVING A KID!!!! There's really not much more to say. Please allow this to sink in.
Tony Lee will be returning to Chicago, IL to be near his family and watch his adorable nephew Desi grow up. That's right, not only does he have beautiful flowing locks and can rip a guitar, he has a heart of solid gold. Asshole.
Parker Whitton of OuttaControllers has filled Tay's spot in the band. He's already far exceeded our expectations as both a musician and a performer. We expect great things from him.
Now what does this mean?
Honestly, not much. We will still be playing show, although only once per quarter, We will be going on some bigger tours coming up, our live album and DVD "The Dirty Half Dozen" is coming down the pipe very soon and we are about 70% finished on a follow up album. The tunes on this new one are so sick.
Wow! Monsters of Mock, The Spittin' Cobras and Hell's Belles all in one week!
Thanks to everybody who showed up to the gigs, thanks to all the kind words in the media, thanks to all the bands we rocked with, but most of all, HUGE thanks to Chaz Ginest from The Outta Controllers without whom we would not have been able to pull off the Iron Maiden sets. This dude showed up to every practice with the songs ready to go and taught all of us a thing or two about dedication. If you missed the shows, it looks lie some video footage will be available soon.
Those of you who haven't heard the whole story behind the end of Forth Yeer and the beginning of MF Ruckus ought to read this article. I talk about a good amount of background info during the interview section. Check this shit out!
With only 14 days and $5,759 still left to reach our $8000 goal, we need help more than ever! If we do not reach our goal, our project will not be funded. We've had the chance to check out a lot of the footage and heard some early cuts of the live recordings and they are super badass! We're incredibly excited to bring this to you guys! If you're already a backer, thank you so very much, we're sure this project is going to knock your socks off. Please help make sure the world gets to see this awesome CD/DVD by telling your friends about the kickstarter campaign. If you're not a backer, you can become one for as little as a dollar, it'll go a long way.
It is our somber duty to report that Spike (AKA The Racist Dog, AKA The 7th member of MF Ruckus) has, indeed, passed away as of 9:01 PM Sunday evening. Spike was not just a beloved household pet, but a friend, room mate and war buddy. In his 12 years of life, Spike had been to more places than most humans have the privilage to visit. From coast to coast, Mexico and Canada, Spike left his mark on peoples lawns and their hearts . Spike toured with us, ate with us, drank with us and helped see us through many a sticky situation. Not only did Spike touch our lives, he also touched the lives of many people from around the world. He inspired art work, folk-lore and even a song we wrote entitled "Spike: Portrait of a Canine Bigot". For the last few days, Spike had been exhibiting signs of terrible pain and had an unexplainable growth on his abdomen. Upon examination, veterinarians determined that Spike had a malignant tumor on his spleen which had ruptured. It was advized that Spike be humanely euthanized on the spot due to the fact that blood had been entering his stomach for quite some time. Jerry held his head and talked him through it (for the record, Spike understood the English language) up until the final moments. Spike meant a great deal to all of us, plain and simple. It might be hard for people to understand how difficult this is for all of us, but those who have shared in our journey know exactly what this dog contributed to our lives. Our sole consulation is that Spike's final memory was watching Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in round one of the AFC playoffs. Speedook, Piggy, S-Pike, Scooper-doo, Scoop doggy Poo, Sir Piggington, whatever name you knew him by, he's digging in trash and going pee-pee in the flowers up in doggy heaven now. He shit on the White House lawn, ate and shit an entire box of crayons directly in front of the TV during Joe Millionaire, ate 5 large pizzas, a 22 pound turkey (bones included), pissed his pants, and drank all of the fallen soldiers from a night of heavy drinking. No dog in the world had a personality like Spike and we're pretty sure no dog ever will. His diet consisted of booze, mushrooms, cocaine, weed, hash and whatever you left out for more than 5 seconds. Buddy, we raise our glass to you. They say all dogs go to heaven, but we know that Spike is at Satan's side, begging for food and demanding a belly rub.
